Water isnot a resource. It is anenvironment.

Thalassia builds high-density computing infrastructure designed around the thermal properties of fresh water - without consuming it. Near-zero water use. Dedicated renewable power.

01Problem

The infrastructure model
is broken at its foundation.

Millions
Gallons · per facility · per day

A single large-scale data centre can consume millions of gallons of water daily through evaporative cooling towers. In drought-affected regions this places operators in direct competition with agriculture, municipalities, and ecosystems for a finite and irreplaceable resource. The draw-down is structural to the cooling model - not a side effect.

Years
Grid interconnection wait · constrained markets

New developments now face multi-year interconnection queues in many markets. Grid dependency is no longer a solved problem. It is an acute development constraint, a regulatory exposure, and a growing political liability as utilities manage competing public demand at scale.

Rising
Construction cost · conventional build

Land competition near population centres, supply chain pressure, and the mechanical infrastructure required to manage heat at scale have driven conventional construction costs sharply upward. The economic model that made this industry viable at its current trajectory is under structural pressure.

01

Community Opposition

Communities across the United States and Europe have blocked, restricted, and placed moratoria on new data centre development. The concerns are consistent: water draw-down, grid strain, and infrastructure that extracts rather than contributes.

02

An Engineering Problem

The constraints the industry treats as inevitable - water consumption, grid dependency, community friction - are engineering problems with engineering solutions. Thalassia was founded on that conviction.

02Our Approach

Thalassia's infrastructure uses the natural thermal properties of fresh water to eliminate the cooling burden that defines conventional data centre design. The result is a facility architecture that consumes near-zero water, requires no mechanical cooling, and operates on dedicated renewable generation - not grid allocation.

We are in pre-commercial development. We do not publish engineering specifications or performance claims ahead of independent validation.

Development Status

Pre-commercial. Engaged with investors and development partners. Independent technical validation in progress. We welcome conversations with infrastructure investors and enterprise procurement teams on a 12–36 month horizon.

Hydrascale

The integrated system of deployment architecture, thermal management, and power integration that makes high-density compute below the waterline operationally viable.

Patent Pending
01

Water as environment, not coolant. We operate within it - we do not consume it.

02

Dedicated renewable power from source. Not offset allocation - dedicated generation at the facility level.

03

Higher compute density per unit of land footprint than conventional construction allows.

04

Infrastructure that gives back to the communities and water systems it operates within - not simply takes less.

03Mission

Infrastructure that earns its place.

The data centre industry is facing a legitimacy crisis - not because the technology is wrong, but because the infrastructure model was designed for a world with unlimited water, available grid capacity, and communities that would accept what was placed among them without question. That world no longer exists.

Thalassia was founded on the conviction that compute infrastructure can be built differently. That the constraints the industry treats as inevitable are engineering problems with engineering solutions.

We exist because the communities where infrastructure is deployed deserve to benefit from its presence, not simply bear its costs. Water is a public resource. Power grids serve everyone.

This is not a sustainability narrative layered on top of a conventional business. It is the business.

Water
Fresh water is finite. Hydrascale operates within aquatic environments without net consumption.
Power
Dedicated renewable generation at the facility level. Not grid allocation or purchased offsets.
Community
Infrastructure designed to contribute to local energy and water systems - not draw them down.
Credibility
We do not publish claims ahead of independent validation. Technology is patent pending.
